Diving
Cicak Senangs dive center, Gecko Dive Center, is located at the beach right in front of the resort. The dive center is owned and managed by Ron Sierveld, a Dutch PADI dive instructor, with many years of dive experience in the Bunaken area.
The professional staff is standby to guide you to the most amazing wall diving in the world. You will be amazed by the richness of marine life in the Bunaken area. The drop offs around the island are covered with many species of hard and soft corals. A home to over one thousand reef fish species. There are about 40 dive sites to explore and most of them are only a short boat ride away from the resort.
Experienced guides
The experienced dive guides are born and raised on Bunaken and are trained to guard your safety under water. Best of all, they have great eyes and will spot the most beautiful sea life for you. They can show you hard to find critters like the pygmy seahorse, scorpionfish, nudibranchs and ghost pipe fish.
Small numbers
Gecko Dive Center uses a 9 meter speedboat for dive trips around Bunaken and to the surrounding islands. The maximum number of divers on this boat is 6 persons and you will dive with a maximum of 4 persons per guide. Because of these small numbers you will be guaranteed to get a lot of personal attention and tailor made trips are a possibility.
Daily trips
The daily dive trips will normally consist of two optional morning dives with the possibility to do a third dive in the afternoon and/or at night. You will come back for lunch at the resort. On further away dive trips your lunch will be served on the boat or you can have a beach picnic.
Slow and long dives
Most dives around Bunaken are wall dives. You just slowly follow the gentle current and the boat will pick you up at the end of the dive. Dive time is only limited by your own air consumption. You can dive as long as you like, just make sure that you surface with a safe amount of air left in your tank.
Full service
Your dive guide and the boat crew will take care of your equipment before and after the dive. They will make sure all your gear is on the boat, they will set up your tank and rinse and store the equipment after the dive.
First class equipment
You can rent well maintained equipment at the resort (Aqualung/ScubaPro/Mares). The tanks have international and DIN valves.

Snorkeling
Not only divers can enjoy the beauty of Bunaken marine life, the reef is easily accessible for snorkelers as well. If you swim out in front of the resort you will find the most colorful fish at the reef top. At the spectacular drop off sea turtles are often sighted by snorkelers.
Since the reef fringes around the island, you can go snorkeling from virtually any spot, swim out, and find spectacular things.
You can use the resort boat to make snorkeling trips around Bunaken Island. A daytrip to Siladen Island is also highly recommended. The snorkeling is amazing and there is a beautiful white sand beach, perfect for some relaxing and sunbathing. The resort cooks will prepare lunch for you so you can have a picnic on the beach.
There is snorkeling equipment for rent at the resort, including wetsuits and lifejackets.
Besides snorkeling tours the resort also offers a dolphin watching tour. Wake up early and take a chance to see hundreds of dolphins. Be aware that dolphins are wild animals and therefore it is not guaranteed that they will show themselves during your tour.
